The Euroean project #LINKS – Strengthening links between technologies and society for European disaster resilience has begun.
The aim of the project is to study and evaluate at European level the effects of using social media and crowdsourcing on disaster resilience. This project will develop a framework that can be used to understand, measure and direct crowdsourcing in disaster situations, taking into consideration the diversity between the perception of disaster risk and vulnerability (DRPV), disaster management processes (DMP) and technologies applied to the community in disaster situations (DCT).
The LINKS kickoff meeting took place on 25 and 26 June, the first of the appointments between the 17 partners, from all over Europe, who make up the consortium of the project itself.
