A Consolidated Understanding of Disaster Community Technologies  

At this year’s ISCRAM conference, which took place from May 23-26, safety innovation center e.V. was able to present the first results of the #LINKSH2020.

With the scientific paper “A consolidated Understanding of Disaster Community Tehnologies”, the creation of a classification schema  for Disaster Community Technologies has been presented.
DCT are applications which can be used in crisis situations for communication and coordination of and information gathering from communities. This can be done passively, such as with social media data analysis, or actively, such as by coordinating volunteers.
The goal is to use a structured collection of information to simplify the use of such technologies for potential stakeholders in civil security and to enable the selection of the right software.
